UEFA has listed FC Barcelona Femeni midfielder Aitana Bonmati and her coach Jonatan Giraldez as nominees for the UEFA Awards. Barcelona Femeni and Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmati were nominated for the UEFA Women’s Footballer of the Year award following her performance in Barcelona’s UEFA Women’s Champions League triumph last season. The Barcelona midfielder looks the most likely to win the award following her amazing performance in the UEFA Women’s Champions League last season. Aitana was named the Player of the Tournament before going on to win the Most Valuable Player of the Competition award at the recently concluded FIFA Women’s World Cup, where her country, Spain, ended up winning the World Cup trophy.
