Yesterday, Barcelona Femeni defeated Benfica 5-0 in their first game in the UEFA Women’s Champions League this season. However, while the victory might have taken the headlines, a huge milestone was reached by one of the team’s players.
Claudia Pina played her 100th game for the club against the Portuguese side in the European clash. The Spanish forward reached this symbolic milestone after she was brought on to replace Keira Walsh in the 71st minute of the game.

Enhorabona, Pina! 🙌 pic.twitter.com/iFgkgWc27Z
The Barcelona number 6, who, although she didn’t make the starting lineup, was happy to have reached the 100-game benchmark with the club of her dreams.
Pina, who is just 22 years old, still has many years left to play in her football career, and with the midfielder’s future at Barcelona sealed for the foreseeable future, she is certain to surpass this awesome record.
