Barcelona might have been crowned Liga F champions, but the league isn’t over yet. In the wake of their title-winning victory over Sporting de Huelva, Barcelona Femeni travel to Real Sociedad to see out the remainder of their Liga F matches. Matchday 28 in Liga F would see the champions continue on their quest to finish the league season unbeaten. Having played 26 games so far, scoring 108 goals and conceding just 5, the champions are yet to lose or draw a single match thus keeping their perfect run going in Liga F.
Real Sociedad will be hoping to end Barcelona’s run of victories and see if they can grab 3 points from the champions. The side who are 6th in the league, with 10 wins, 8 draws, and 9 losses, scoring 51 goals while conceding 43 will be hosting the champions tomorrow.
Barcelona almost suffered their first defeat in the league this season at the hands of Real Sociedad in their first encounter on the 3rd of December 2022. After conceding a goal in the first half, Barcelona had to dig deep and score two late goals courtesy of Marta Torrejon and Lucy Bronze.
Head to head
Both sides have played against each other a total of 20 times with Barcelona winning 19 of those games and one of them ending in a draw. The game tomorrow would be their second clash in the Liga F this season with Barca winning the first leg 2-1.
Last 5 games
Barcelona has won her last 5 Liga F matches. But the same cannot be said for Real Sociedad who won 2, drew 2, and lost 1 of their last 5 games in the league.

Missing from the squad
Players that do not make the match squad list include: Jana Fernandez, Claudia Pina, Ana Maria Crnogocevic, Lucy Bronze, Fridolina Rolfo, Salma Paralluelo, Geyse Ferreira, Ingrid Engen, Gemma Font
Player to watch out for
Barcelona are more likely to field a rotated squad, considering that they’ve already won the league and some players need to enjoy more playing time.
However, much focus would be placed on the return of Alexia Putellas who returned from injury in time to make the matchday squad against Chelsea in the second leg of the UWCL semi-finals. Barcelona, who received a major boost right before their game against Chelsea will finally be able to play with Alexia Putellas who has been sidelined for almost 10 months due to an ACL injury.
The two-time Ballon d’Or and FIFA Best Player of the Year would be hoping to get some minutes against Real Sociedad. In her last appearance against Sporting de Huelva, the captain had a brief cameo in which she performed well. However, it was obvious she still lacked match fitness and would require more game time to shake off the rustiness and be fully ready
With the league campaign already wrapped up, the champions should have no problem giving the captain an appearance and quickly integrating her back into the team.
Injuries
Barcelona would be without the services of Lucy Bronze who just had an arthroscopic surgery done on her right knee after getting injured while playing against Chelsea in London.
