However, 2-1 on aggregate confirmed that it was Barcelona who would progress from the semi-final and get a chance to go for glory in Eindhoven

Player Ratings

Sandra Paños –  6.3

The Spanish shot-stopper made 2 saves. And started a counter-attack in the second half of the game with a long pass to Caroline Hansen Graham. Not test too much in the game, but was alert as ever with the ball.

Marta Torrejón – 6.5

Coming in to replace the injured Lucy Bronze in the starting lineup, she started the game in the right back spot. Did well to defend when called to action and also did well to progress the ball into the attacking third.

Irene Paredes – 7

With three clearances and one blocked shot, she kept her cool under pressure and did not fall behind under the London club’s pressing and counterattack.

Mapi León – 6.5

Recorded 2 defensive actions on the night. Held up her position in the Barcelona defense calmly. Was tasked with taking the corners and set pieces. She was constantly involved in the team’s buildup and was good at her distribution.

Fridolina Rolfö – 6.5

Kickstarting a few chances from deep, she was a beautiful addition in attack as always. Made a couple of good runs from the defense.

Aitana Bonmatí – 7.5

Her ability to pierce through Chelsea’s block was very helpful for Barcelona throughout the match as she dominated in the center of the park.

Keira Walsh – 7

A good performance, not allowing the Chelsea team to exploit the spaces left behind the Barcelona backline. Chelsea was able to make better use of the ball after she was substituted, this shows how important she was in her role.

Patri Guijarro – 6

Her defensive perseverance and pressing were there but had a relatively quiet match.

Caroline Graham Hansen – 8

Scored Barcelona’s only goal of the game, and she also started multiple counter-attacks. The MVP kept the keeper and the Chelsea defense on their toes every time she got the ball. She had a solid performance.

Asisat Oshoala – 6

Started her first game since returning from injury and did well with her touches. Had a decent match. Didn’t have much of the ball and space to exploit.

Mariona Caldentey – 7

Like Oshoala she also started her first game since returning from injury and did well, running through the Chelsea team. But she could have done so much more damage in the game.

Came in for the captain, and did quite well going forward and defending during the last nervy minutes.

Ingrid Syrstad Engen – 6

Had a relatively quiet game but made 1 interception and she gave the team composure.

Salma Paralluelo – 6

She had a chance in the late minutes of the game but was denied by Chelsea’s number 1 who blocked a goal-bound play.
