As we head into the international break, where players briefly leave their various clubs to represent their countries, Barcelona Femeni has had 13 of its players receive the call-up to play for their respective national teams.
Lucy Bronze and Keira Walsh set to represent England
Barcelona Femeni right-back Lucy Bronze and midfielder Keira Walsh were listed in the squad to represent the English Women’s national team. The Barca duo will be playing for the Lionesses in international friendlies when they lock horns Austria and Italy.
Norway calls Caroline Graham Hansen and Ingrid Engen for international duty
A fine performance with Barcelona Femeni this season has seen the Norwegian pair called to play for their country during the international break. Norway are set to play against Croatia in the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
Brugts and Dragoni called to represent their national teams
Netherlands have called Esmee Brugts to reoresent the national team during the international break. In the same light, Barcelona’s young midfielder Guilia Dragoni has been listed to represent the Italy during the break.
Netherlands will be facing Spain in the semifinals of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
While Italy is set to play international friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and England.
Eight Barcelona Femeni players called to play for Spain
The Spanish Football Federation, RFEF has called seven players from Barcelona Femeni to represent the national team during the international break.
The list of players includes familiar names like Alexia Putellas, Aitana Bonmati, Irene Paredes, Mariona Caldentey, Salma Paralluelo, Ona Batlle, and Cata Coll.
Also receiving a novelty call to the senior national team is Barcelona’s young midfielder Vicky Lopez.
The World Champions will be playing against the Netherlands in the semifinals of the UEFA Women’s Nations League.
