Two-time Ballon d’Or winner Alexia Putellas equals ex-Barcelona player Jennifer Hermoso’s record on Sunday night, when she scored against Real Sociedad in the Liga F.
The team’s captain now sits on top of the goalscorers list for Barcelona Femeni with Jennifer Hermoso, as both players have now scored 181 goals each for Barcelona.

Alexia Putellas, who made her 400th appearance for Barcelona two weeks ago, now sits at the very top of the all-time list of top goalscorers for the Catalan side. However, with Alexia Putellas still very much present at the club, it’s only a matter of time before La Reina sits at the very top of the list alone.
Putellas calmly finished against Sociedad to score Barcelona’s second goal of the match, showing excellent composure on the ball to get past her marker before calmly putting the ball in the back of the net.
This achievement is a huge piece of good news for the midfielder, who spent the majority of last season on the bench due to an ACL injury. Alexia will be looking to score more goals in the Blaugrana shirt and hopefully sooner rather than later break the top goalscorers record.
