Barcelona Femeni forward Asisat Oshoala is reportedly set to leave the Catalan giants and ply her trade elsewhere. The Nigerian forward, whose contract with Barca expires in the summer, has been rumoured to have received an offer from the NWSL and is set to leave Barcelona Femeni this transfer window.

In addition to a short spell on the sidelines due to injury, Oshoala has somewhat fallen out of grace at Barcelona where she has often failed to make the starting lineup this season. The striker who happened to be Barcelona’s highest goalscorer in the league over the past two seasons has seen a massive reduction on playing time with the attacking trio of Salma Paralluelo, Mariona Caldentey, and Caroline Graham Hansen all getting the nod ahead of the Nigerian forward.

Asisat Oshoala is also not listed in the matchday squad to face Real Betis in the Liga F on January 28, 2024.

Barcelona has also secured the services of Patri Guijarro, Mapi Leon, and most recently Marta Torrejon by renewing their contracts. However, Asisat Oshoala has yet to get an offer of an extension, despite her contract expiring in the summer.
