It has been confirmed that the Barcelona Femeni team will receive the Medal of Honor from the Parliament of Catalonia. This news was released on the club’s Twitter page yesterday. In celebration of the ‘National Day of Catalonia’, the team has been bestowed with the highest distinction from the Parliament of Catalonia.

With the last recipient of the medal from the club being Josep Guardiola in 2011, the Barcelona Femeni team will receive the 2023 award for their contribution to the success and positive perception of women’s sports as well as advocating for “social respect for women in sports” to create “a more fair and equal society in terms of rights and opportunities.
The club will be presented with the Medal of Honor this Wednesday.
