The second fixture of the semifinals of the Supercopa de Espana ended in a 4-0 victory for Barcelona Femeni. A brace of goals from Mariona Caldentey and Salma Paralluelo secured the Catalan side’s progress to the final on Saturday.

Barcelona destroyed their archrivals in style for the second time this season after their first clash in the Liga F that ended 5-0.

Mariona Caldentey pounced on a loose ball in front of goal to open the scoring for the Blaugrana in the 12th minute. Madrid failed to deal with Salma Paralluelo’s beautiful delivery from the corner flag and Mariona made them pay by firing the stray ball into the back of the net.

Salma Paralluelo scored Barca’s second goal after evading two defenders with a brilliant turn and a nutmeg before firing on goal with the outside of her left foot. Aitana Bonmati found Ona Batlle on the overlap and the full-back passed the ball to Salma, who got a brilliant first touch to turn past her marker, and nutmeg another defender before sending a shot past the goalkeeper.

The third goal came from the penalty spot after Mariona Caldentey was brought down in the box. Although play was allowed to continue after the foul, VAR intervention eventually awarded Barcelona the penalty. Mariona stepped up and converted from the spot to complete her brace in the 38th minute.

Salma Paralluelo also got her brace and scored Barcelona’s fourth goal in the second half. In the 52nd minute, the young forward outmuscled her marker and toe-poked the ball past the goalkeeper unintentionally.

The game continued with Barcelona searching for more goals but Caroline Graham Hansen, Aitana Bonmati, and substitute Claudia Pina all saw their efforts either sail wide off the mark.

Patri Guijarro thought she had made it five for Barcelona when she scored late in the second half. However, her goal was disallowed, and the scoreline remained 4-0.

The match ended with a 4-0 victory for Barcelona, who will play against Levante in the final on Saturday.
